What to do Over Winter Break

For most of us, winter break is very relaxing after the holidays, possibly even too relaxing. That’s when boredom takes over, and people look for costless things to do using household items. Something that’ll waste time is to make a warm drink, like hot chocolate, tea, milk, etc. and take out any device that can access the internet. Then, look for a classic movie, (it could be festive or not), and enjoy watching that with a drink and a snack! Another fun thing to do is to build a fort, and release your inner seven year old! You could use the extra gift wrap and tissue paper you got from your holiday gifts, and have your family or friends make outfits taped on a person out of all the wrapping. Coming from someone who has went to a party and did that, it was quite fun and unforgettable!

Try some origami, using post-its or regular printer paper, there’s countless YouTube videos that’ll have beginner, moderate, and advanced level creations that are amusing and creative! Have a drawing contest with whoever is currently with you, and in many cases, just draw horrible pictures yourself and save them to give to your friends. Also, you can just take some hair ties or rubber bands and try to shoot them at certain places/things in the room you’re in...or get in an argument with yourself about oreos.

I know I’m going to try this next time I’m bored, I’m going to create a bucket list for myself. Something else that’s strangely entertaining is to make up your own word and create a definition for it, then send it to a dictionary company. After doing everything listed above, you should try to read as many articles on this website as you can, because you’ll probably like them.
