Controversy has been sparked among the East Coast, since everyone is aware of the extremely creepy clowns that have been supposedly luring children into the woods, and stalking people in various states. It has escalated to a certain extent to where people are not being clowns for Halloween, a clown that was sighted has been beaten by a bat, and another has been fatally shot in the streets of Newark in the past two months. There hasn’t been anymore recent reports of clowns in New Jersey, yet as of (October 25th), many clowns have been spotted by local residents in Bonifay, Florida.
The clowns that were roaming around weren’t reportedly killing or abducting people, until about a month ago, a sixteen year-old from Reading High School in Pennsylvania was fatally stabbed to death, police still investigating the entire situation. This is no longer a joke, and people are serious about the matter now--many schools and states are instructing for people not to be dressed as clowns for Halloween. Actually, many people of the United State’s population suffer from coulrophobia, the fear of clowns...and this whole “clown thing” has not only made it worse for people already suffering from it, it has caused the amount of people who suffer from it to double!
As of lots of people know, there have been clowns spotted in New Jersey; more than seven different cases were reported to police. Four sightings have been disclosed to police in the town of Phillipsburg, New Jersey, that of which is approximately an hour away from Mount Olive. One of the cases was that a child was chased by three clowns that came out of the woods, but apparently they [the clowns] all left after the child stopped running and started to throw rocks at them. The clown issue has affected more than half a dozen of US states, and now it is affecting the United Kingdom.
In the United Kingdom, six clown incidents have occurred just in this past week! It’s all the same thing, malevolent people dressed as clowns, yet in the UK it’s heard to be much more ‘hardcore’. Out of the six, one of the most dramatic happened on Friday, where a masked man carrying a knife dressed as a clown jumped out in front of a group of eleven and twelve year olds, where he followed them all the way to school. Myriad amounts of people claimed that all of this ‘clown chaos’ is fueled by the movie “It”, based off of Stephen King’s novel It and the older version of the movie called “Pennywise”.
There’s no doubt that people believe it’s all a big prank, but it has soared way beyond that...and there are a few conspiracy theories about the causes of this so called ‘clown outbreak’.
Looking into the theories is actually quite interesting, and I recommend looking into them, because they’re pretty crazy, yet each of them make sense. Anyways, make sure to keep an eye out for the local news on clown sightings, and stay safe.
