This classic 1946 film is about George Bailey, a father and husband who has lost his will to live. Contemplating to take his own life, George is surprised when the guardian angel Clarence intervenes in order to show him what the lives of the people around him would be like if he was never born.

This movie is excellent! Famous actors such as James Stewart and Donna Reed beautifully portrayed the characters they played. The plot was refreshing, but while the storyline can be perceived as dark, director Frank Capra made sure to add humor and romance to make the film more appealing to all. The cinematic elements such as the narration from Clarence and the sophisticated music brought this movie up to par effectively.

This movie clearly demonstrates the importance of every human life. As Clarence shows George the state of the city Bedford Falls without him in it, the difference in their lives indicated amount of lives he touched. The spirit of Christmas and the love for one another through thick and thin during these holiday times were obvious themes that the crew wanted every person in the audience to grasp.
