What’s the best part of fall?

Sunday night football, of course!

New York is home to many beloved sports teams (including two football teams). Among the New York teams are the New York Giants, Jets, Mets, Yankees, Rangers, Islanders, Red Bulls, and Knicks. The sports range from football, to baseball, ice hockey, and soccer. The two football teams are the Giants and Jets.

One of the most watched teams is the New York Giants. With the fall seasons favorite sport well under way, the Giants have a record of 2-3. They started off strong winning their first two game against the Dallas Cowboys, and New Orleans Saints. With scores of 20-19, and 13-16 the Giants looked good going into their next games. After missing last season due to injuries, Victor Cruz is now back, and even scored a touchdown this first game. Rookie receiver Sterling Shepard scored a touchdown during the Dallas game as well.

However, they then took three L’s from the Washington Redskins, Minnesota Vikings, and Green Bay Packers. The Washington game was very close, the Giants were winning, then the Redskins, then the Giants, then the Redskins etc. The Giants were capable of scoring a touchdown the last play of the game, but Redskins defender Su’a Cravens dove in front of the ball, and the pass was incomplete. Eli Manning, the Quarterback, got sacked twice during the most recent Packers game. Even though Jenoris Jenkins got two interceptions for the Giants, it was not enough to help the team secure a win.

The Giants next game is Sunday, October 16th at 1:00PM against the Ravens! Be sure to tune in to cheer on the team!
